EMDR Therapy
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy was developed by Francine Shapiro in the 1980s to help people recover from and work through traumatic memories. EMDR utilizes bilateral stimulation while processing harmful memories by tapping your body and/or moving your eyes back and forth in a specific way guided by the clinician. This evidence-based therapy helps you re-process poorly stored memories without having to talk through numerous specific details with the clinician.
